Recording Band Rehearsals, Setups and Tips - WIKIIf you are planning on recording band rehearsals, either your own band, or making demos for other bands, here are some great setup ideas and tips for getting good recordings without spending a lot of money or time.
tt:Keep it simple, USB Microphones A USB microphone is a simple and great solution is you just want to get a general sound of the band. Take a look at these microphones, they combine just great with a laptop, and you are done.
The UB1 and C03U are omni directional microphones which means you can put them in a place somwhere in the center of the band and get the music from the drums, guitar amps, and the PA system, just like what you are hearing when you are standing in the middle.
Directional microphones like the C01U work just as well. But they take a little more time to positioning them. You just have to spend more time getting the balance of the mix right.
